STUDENTS APPROVE EQUALITY PROJECT
This year, in typical Seattle Central style, students have become politically active and vocal around the Referendum 71 ballot initiative, which, if passed, gives both GLBT folks as well as certain unmarried elderly couples domestic partnership rights.
The Triangle Club, Seattle Central’s GLBT and Allies Student organization, has taken more of an activist role on this issue, and has posted photographs of Seattle Central students who support Referendum 71. Along with their picture is a statement from each student stating why he or she supports this initiative. They are posted on the 3rd floor of the BE Building at both the north and south ends of the building. Take a moment while you are passing through this area to check it out, and check out the statements from the students.

This is a fantastic idea! It shows how this referendum affects real people and our every day lives. Putting faces with actual thoughts gives this topic more meaning in a reality setting.
