Transfer Scholarship Awards Reception

On Tuesday, July 7th, 2009, the SCCC Foundation celebrated its awarding of transfer scholarships to 11 Seattle Central students who will transfer to various colleges and universities in the fall. The intimate reception was held in the office of the President and was attended by the awardees, donors, members of the Foundation Board, and SCCC faculty and staff.

Following is a list of the students who received scholarships and the schools that they will be attending in the fall:

Sarah Lim - Smith College
Sarah Otto-Combs - University of Washington
Leslie Ratzlaff-Minkler - Seattle University
Dustin Schmidt - Reed College
Carlos Sibaja Garcia - Seattle University
Nickolas Stelzenmuller - University of Washington

There were many faculty, staff, and board members who participated in the reading of the scholarship applications this year, and the Foundation would like to thank them for their diligence and hard work in the process to award scholarships.
