SIFF "What's on Your Plate?"

SCCC anthropologist Pete Knutson has been invited to speak on a food panel sponsored by the Seattle Times at the Seattle International Film Festival this Saturday, June 13, beginning at 11 a.m.

The panel will discuss issues of food security following a showing of the film What's On Your Plate at Pacific Place downtown Saturday at 11 am.

The film will be screened in Theatre 11 at 11:00, and has a running time of about 72 minutes. After the film, please join in a panel interaction with the audience for about one half hour on the issues raised by the film.

There will be many children in the audience, as the film is a documentary about two 11 year olds who took it upon themselves to learn about the food in their lives, including their school lunch. The panel will consider how kids in the audience might get involved in Seattle.
