Opticianry Update

School of Opticianry News:

Every quarter we offer a discount on RX lenses and new frames tied in with a donation to a local charity.

Spring quarter we offered special discounts with a minimum donation of $25 to Abused Deaf Women’s Advocacy Services (ADWAS). ADWAS provides services to deaf and deaf-blind victims of sexual assault and or domestic violence. Or a minimum donation of $25 to the Seattle/King County Humane societies Pet Project which provides services to individuals disabled by AIDS. This program supports the unique power and healing that comes from the connection between people and pets.

We raised $430 for ADWAS and $200 for the Humane Societies Pet Project.

Since fall quarter we have raised a total $2,115 to help community charitable organizations:

Food Life Line $700.
Life Long AIDS Alliance $350
Gilda’s Club Seattle $435
ADWAS $430
Humane Society Pet Project $200

We in the Opticianry program wish to thank the school community for the continued support of our program and Campus Optical.

Campus Optical will be closed summer quarter but will be back in business fall quarter.
