Want the New Logo in your Outlook Signature?

For those interested, here are the instructions on how to insert the new logo in your Outlook email signature. Scroll to bottom for examples. The instructions make it look more complicated than it really is.

Step 1
Pick the logo you want to use http://seattlecentral.edu/brandcentral/logo.php
Save to your computer by hovering over JPEG link and right clicking and “Save target as”

Step 2
Start in Outlook 2003 main screen.
Go to Tools -- Options
Click on Mail Format
Click on Signatures
Click New
Give a name for this Signature file
Select Start with a blank signature
Immediately click on Advanced Edit

If your message format is set to Rich Text:

Word will automatically open for you to start creating your signature.
Since you're now in Word, you can do almost anything you want with formatting and graphics. Resize, etc.
To keep graphic and text aligned, create your signature inside a table [one example has two columns, one has two rows]
Outlook shows the table gridlines, so using the background color of your new message as reference, use the same color as the table borders of your signature table. If your email background is white, set your grid borders to white by clicking Format, Borders, Color and the white box. Go to Step 3 below.

If your message format is set to HTML:

Your HTML editor will open (FrontPage/Dreamweaver, etc.)
Create your signature as you wish. If using a graphic, insert it and if you want your text to wrap along the side of this graphic, right-click on the graphic and select Picture Properties and select your Wrapping Style. Go to Step 3 below.

Step 3
Hit save and exit this program. It will save in signatures. You will return to the Outlook signatures window and you now have a graphical signature like the one below. Ta da! (If it is not working, Go back to Tools – Options, Click on Mail Format, Click on Signatures and select your new logo signature in the drop down menu.)
